Strategic Planning in the School District

 The School District of Menomonee Falls continues to welcome your input on our Strategic Planning work.  A group of educators and citizens are developing specific action plans around our three strategies:

•  We will shift from traditional teaching practices to a focus on active learning in order to develop self-motivated, collaborative, critical thinkers.  We will engage students in their own learning and foster the ability to adapt creatively in an ever-changing world.
• We will cultivate and access community resources and build collaborative partnerships to support and enhance the mission of the School District of Menomonee Falls.
• We will provide an evolving, personalized education for every student based on 21^st Century skills to maximize individual strengths and interests.

Informational Meetings in the District

Two informational meetings being offered  in the School District are coming up:

Tuesday, December 15 – School Board Candidate Workshop – Central Office – Room 109  at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, December 16 - A Finance and Tax Levy Informational meeting explaining the School District budget formulation and its impact on the tax levy and tax payers – Menomonee Falls High School Library at 6:30 p.m.

We are excited to begin a new form of communication with our publics.  This blog will be updated weekly.  November 19, 2009

The big news in our school district is the success of our Varsity Football Team.  I cannot go anywhere in the Falls without someone talking about Friday’s State Championship Game at Camp Randall Stadium.  I expect to see many families and residents at Madison on Friday.  Let’s enjoy this moment.

 Join us at 9:00 p.m. for a “Welcome Back” pep rally for the team at the  high school.

 

Our High School Fall Play – “M*A*S*H” – is this weekend – Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening – 7:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday. 

 

Please join me at Sentry Foods this Saturday for a community visit.  I’ll be set up in the store between 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.

Welcome to our School District of Menomonee Falls Blog.  In a continuous effort to improve and expand our communications at the School District of Menomonee Falls, we decided that a blog would be a good avenue to pursue. It is our intention that this communication tool will become an ongoing conversation with our residents to provide information and receive constructive feedback, positive or negative. Our goal is to post updated content on a regular basis, most likely twice a month, at least in the beginning. Of course, posts could become more frequent as more noteworthy discussion topics surface.
